📑 Table of Contents

Overview

This guide defines how moderators should operate within the game environment.

The objective is to maintain:

  • Fair gameplay
  • System integrity
  • A safe and structured environment

â„šī¸ Note
In-game moderation has direct impact on gameplay and must be handled carefully.

Moderator Responsibilities

Game moderators are responsible for:

  • Enforcing rules within the game
  • Monitoring player behaviour
  • Responding to incidents
  • Preventing exploitation or abuse

Moderator Conduct

Moderators must:

  • Remain neutral and unbiased
  • Avoid interfering with normal gameplay unnecessarily
  • Never use tools for personal advantage
  • Communicate clearly and professionally

â„šī¸ Note
Non-moderation tools (e.g. server events or testing features) may only be used:

  • In private/testing environments, or
  • With explicit approval from senior staff

Such usage must:

  • Be appropriate to the environment
  • Not disrupt gameplay or other users
  • Be logged or observable where possible

âš ī¸ Warning
Abuse of in-game permissions will result in immediate removal.

Moderation Tools

Moderators may have access to:

  • Kick / Ban systems
  • Warning systems
  • Spectate tools
  • Logs and player data
  • Admin panels

These tools must only be used for legitimate moderation purposes.

Moderation Actions

Moderation should follow a structured approach:

1. Observation

Assess the situation before acting.

2. Warning

Inform the player of the issue.

3. Action

Apply appropriate moderation (kick, timeout, etc.)

4. Escalation

Escalate serious or repeated issues.

Common Scenarios

Exploiting

  • Using scripts or unintended mechanics

Action: Immediate kick or ban depending on severity

Disruptive Behaviour

  • Interfering with gameplay or systems

Action: Warning → Kick → Ban

Abuse of Systems

  • Misuse of reactor controls or critical systems

Action: Immediate intervention and escalation

Staff Abuse

  • Misuse of moderator tools

Action: Immediate removal and report

âš ī¸ Warning
Staff abuse is treated as a critical violation.

Abuse of Systems

The following is strictly prohibited:

  • Using admin tools for personal benefit
  • Targeting players unfairly
  • Bypassing systems or safeguards
  • Altering gameplay without reason

Logging & Evidence

All moderation actions should be:

  • Logged where possible
  • Supported with evidence
  • Reviewable by senior staff

💡 Tip
If you cannot justify the action, it should not be taken.

Final Notes

Game moderation should prioritise:

  • Fairness
  • Stability
  • Consistency

💡 Tip
The goal is to maintain the environment — not control it.
